The campsite
In Frossay, along the Martinière canal, La Cale Sauvage is a two-star campsite, in the heart of a protected environment. Close to The Loire by Bike and the The VelodysseeIt is an ideal stop for cyclists as well as for those who wish to take a break in nature.
The campsite is open from Friday, April 3rd until the beginning of October 2026.

🥐 The Campsite Breakfast ☕
Start the day off gently with our breakfast package, available for reservation the day before at reception.
⏰ Breakfast is served from 8:30 am to 9:30 am.
Breakfast Formula – €7.50
It includes:
- A traditional half-baguette
- Butter & Jam
- A hot drink of your choice: coffee, hot chocolate, green tea or black tea
- A fruit juice of your choice: orange juice or apple juice
We also offer several supplements:
- Scrambled eggs
- Œufs brouillés & bacon
- Œufs brouillés & saucisse
- Fresh fruit salad
- Homemade cookie
Don't hesitate to ask at reception to create a breakfast that suits you!

Nous avons deux sanitaires sur le camping dont un tout juste installé en 2024 et qui est Suitable for people with reduced mobility.
The guinguette
Bar & restaurant
Our guinguette offers a simple menu but only with home-made cuisine and fresh products, as much as possible, from local producers.
The restaurant is open from Wednesday to Sunday in June (lunch and dinner).
A common space, as a shelter.
A common area (barnum) is provided for all travelers present at the campsite: there is a fridge, a microwave and a kettle available.
In rainy weather, this place also allows you to lock up some bikes and share a moment with other travelers for an evening.
The campsite is certified as a "Bike Welcome" establishmentand is located along the Vélodyssée, we are implementing actions to guarantee quality reception and services for cyclists.
Our animal friends
- Dogs and cats are only allowed on pitches.
- Animals must be kept on a leash in the campsite to respect all campers.
- Your pets' vaccinations must be up to date.
- Pitches are limited to a maximum of 2 animals.
- Dogs with the category 1 and 2 are prohibited.
- We have very few rental accommodations, so we made the choice to not accept animals. Thank you for your understanding.
- ⚠️ Reactive dogs: prohibited within the campsite, even on a leash.
Leisures
Enjoy the following facilities on and around the campsite:
- Various outdoor games are available to you (pétanque, palets, molky, darts, etc.)
- Board games available for children and adults
- A playground, attached to the municipality, is located just opposite the campsite, separated by a road.
- Enjoy an ideal environment to rent a bike, paddle, canoe, pedal boat at the "Le Quai vert" Nautical Base, located just opposite the campsite.
